Beyond Brick-and-Mortar: Devil Daves Flavorful Future

Consolidation Efforts: A New Chapter for Our Bloody Mary Business - Thanks to YOU!

After five wonderful years serving the Rehoboth Beach community, we've made the difficult decision to close our retail store. This decision enables us to fully utilize our production plant and concentrate on the remarkable growth and opportunities that have emerged for Devil Daves Products. By shifting our focus, we can maximize our production capabilities and better respond to the increasing demand for our Bloody Mary mixes across various markets.

Over the past few years, we've experienced remarkable success in expanding our brand. Our Milton Manufacturing Facility has enabled us to produce and distribute the Devil Daves product line to more than 800 stores across the country. We've also achieved top-selling status on Amazon & Online marketplaces. This growth has opened new doors for us in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) and business-to-business (B2B) spaces, presenting opportunities we simply can't continue to put to the side.

As we look to the future, we're excited to channel our energy into developing new products, expanding our presence at events and tradeshows, and growing our catering services. As a 100% in-house manufacturer, these endeavors require significant time and resources – a commitment we're eager to make.

The Tide Goes Out - A Retail Reality Check

While operating a year round store in Downtown Rehoboth Beach has been exciting and rewarding, we've encountered growing challenges in maintaining our positive outlook. The evolving nature of tourism, with visitors opting for shorter stays, has significantly impacted shopping patterns. This, coupled with increasing operational costs and staffing difficulties due to the area's lack of affordable apartment housing, has strained our ability to hire and maintain employees. Additionally, persistent traffic congestion, limited parking availability during peak seasons have further changed the narrative. These factors combined have made it increasingly difficult to provide the seamless shopping experience our customers expect and deserve.

For a while, we had a great rhythm going - a full staff, open all week, and everything running smoothly. But since Q3 of 2023, things have shifted. As the owner, I've found myself constantly darting between the store and plant, trying to keep everything on track. It's been increasingly challenging to maintain a happy medium. We've put our all into this store, but we've realized it's time to refocus our energy where it can have the greatest impact.
